old love rekindled. . .

I think I am falling back in love with a city I thought I had all but given up on. Life has shifted a bit and now I am about to start a new career. Have no worries, dcstylestop.com is definitely going to continue to be my favorite hobby. I've also been dabbling in a bit of freelance writing. Long story short, I guess I will be trying my best to learn what it is like to be a young professional in one of the greatest cities in the world.

Today I spent the afternoon playing "tourist". I went to the Natural History Museum, the Air and Space Museum, and the National Museum of American History...all of which were absolutely divine. Sometimes it is really nice to just spend the day alone. I don't think I thought about anything other than what was directly in front of me...for the first time in a long time.

My favorite class in college also happened to be the most challenging and least relevant to my degree. I finally had the chance to put that knowledge to use at the Natural History Museum. Learning about how humans evolved is one thing...but seeing the fossils that support those theories in a museum is really cool. To learn more about human evolution go to the wiki article here. Or, you can see what I saw at the Natural History Museum website on Human Origins.

Thanks for reading. Have a good week. :)
